The next generation of wireless communication systems shall make an efficient and smart use of the available resources. Bandwidth is one of the scarcest
resources and, for that reason, future systems will need to reduce its usage to the bare minimum. This comes at the price of introducing echoes, that may be ex-tremely strong, in the system.
A good analogy would be a mountain that reflects our voice and amplifies it back, causing the returning echo to be louder than our own voice.

This work presents novel methods aiming to mitigate or reduce the echoes in future wire-less systems. The first theme presents methods working in an iterative/adaptive fashion or, in other words, working step by step without supervision. The second theme presents methods that use a central computation node to reach an optimal solution.
