Research

The Department of Signal Processing and Acoustics unifies a combination of research fields varying from ICT related technology to core electrical engineering and its basic phenomena.  Research and teaching at SPA focus on understanding of the theoretical limits and fundamentals of these phenomena and their related technologies.

A significant part of our task is applying this knowledge to boost practical applications creating societal impact through cooperation with companies producing the applications to be introduced on the market.

The Department currently consists of four research fields: Signal Processing, Audio Signal Processing and Acoustics, Speech Technology, and Metrology.
